This property also finds use in applications where the Nickel 201 Alloy Shim Sheet is to be used in the manufacture and handling of sodium hydroxide which is a highly caustic base. Not only this, nickel 201 sheet suppliers in india also observe that this metal is particularly resistant to sodium hydroxide even at a temperature above 300C.The material used to produce Pure 201 Nickel Hot Rolled Plate shows good resistance, in salt solutions which are not only acidic or alkaline in nature but also in those salt solutions which are neutral. Therefore the 201 Nickel Clad Plate could be used in the soap industry for the manufacture of soap.
Although manufacturers note that in oxidising salt solutions, the UNS N02201 Nickel 201 Coil will undergo severe corrosive attack . Since the 2.4068 Nickel 201 Foil is resistant to all dry gases at room temperature, the metal can be used in dry chlorine and hydrogen chloride environments, at temperatures up to 550C. Hence, the No 2201 Nickel 201 Strip can be used in the production of Analine hydrochloride. Further, the Pure Nickel 201 Sheet can also be used in the chlorination of aliphatic hydrocarbons such as methane, benzene, or ethane. Although exposing the Nickel Alloy 201 Plate to chlorates must be kept to a minimum.

Just like Nickel grade 200, Nickel 201 plate is also known as commercially pure wrought Nickel. Although N02201 Alloy 4mm Thick Plate has properties which make it similar to Alloy 200, but the difference between both these metal grades is with a lower carbon content used in the alloying of the Nickel 201 UNS N02201 Flat Plate. Similar to nickel grade 200, Nickel Alloy Ni-201 Shim Stock demonstrates outstanding resistance to caustic alkalis up to and includes the molten state as well, which makes it useful if used in the production of viscose rayon.
